Job summary

Healthie is seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead one of our Backend engineering teams. You will drive scalability, reliability, and performance for critical systems including billing and payments infrastructure.

As Engineering Manager for Core R&D, you’ll oversee design, development, and maintenance of core services, translating requirements into scalable solutions with Product and cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a software engineer with 2+ years leading teams, preferably in SaaS.
• Healthcare tech experience is a plus and familiarity with modern web stacks.
• Hands-on ability to discuss architecture and guide engineers through complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach engineers to foster technical excellence and growth.
• Own squad roadmaps with clear prioritization and high‑impact delivery.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to shape architectural decisions.
• Champion engineering best practices for secure, performant code.
• Create an environment where engineers are empowered and motivated.
