Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager for the Enterprise Justice group in Plano, TX, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days on‑site. You will lead engineers building AWS-native cloud solutions and maintain a legacy .NET stack while partnering with PM, architecture, operations, and support to align priorities with business goals.

You will coach engineers, drive Agile and DevOps adoption, and define KPIs to improve delivery velocity, quality, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years leading software engineering teams.
• Hands-on background with large-scale web apps; familiarity with .NET, JavaScript, SQL Server, AWS.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and modern software delivery practices (CI/CD).
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum) and SDLC principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers building cloud-native AWS solutions alongside a legacy .NET stack.
• Partner with product management, architecture, platform operations, and support to align development priorities with business goals and customer outcomes.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers through regular one-on-ones, performance evaluations, and career growth planning; foster continuous improvement and accountability.
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve delivery velocity, quality, and operational reliability.
• Balance roadmap execution with production support; manage capacity and protect against production issues.
• Define and track KPIs to measure team health and delivery effectiveness; drive data‑driven improvements.
• Contribute to year‑over‑year evolution of Enterprise Justice products and cloud modernization efforts.
• Champion process improvements, tooling enhancements, and engineering best practices.
