Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience designing production systems.
• Proficient in .NET/C# and modernization of legacy systems.
• Experience building event-driven, distributed architectures.
• Experience in AWS and cloud-native design.
• Designing RESTful APIs and scalable backends.
• Strong data modeling with relational databases.
• Familiar with automated testing, CD/CI, observability, secure development.
• Experience with IaC, containers, and cloud deployment patterns.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence direction.
• Experience using AI tools to improve workflows.
• Willling to pass CJIS fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide architectural strategy toward cloud-native, event-driven architecture.
• Partner with managers and senior engineers to align decisions with priorities.
• Evaluate system design tradeoffs across scalability, performance, reliability, security.
• Provide technical leadership for modernization initiatives.
• Design and review architecture for complex features and platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers to foster strong technical judgment.
• Promote engineering standards and best practices.
• Advance adoption of automated testing, CD, observability, and operability.
• Explore opportunities for AI-enabled product capabilities.
• Communicate architectural recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
