Job summary

Caterpillar’s Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) Division is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Battery Module and BDU design across RI/CI machines, rail and marine. You will foster a high-performing, safe, and collaborative culture aligned with innovation and excellence.

You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with suppliers, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect Caterpillar's IP while delivering robust product solutions from concept to reality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
• Experience leading battery systems development and cross-functional teams.
• Strong planning, project management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross-functional mechanical, thermal, and electrical teams for Battery Module and BDU design.
• Coordinate NPI and small-batch programs with test planning, validation, and budgeting.
• Define design and manufacturing strategies with regulators and safety reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to drive supplier development.
