Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager in Mossville, IL to lead Battery Module and BDU design and integration across multiple applications, including RI/CI machines, rail, and marine.

The role combines technical leadership with people management to drive safety, innovation, and operational excellence. You will coordinate with Chief Engineers, Battery Systems leaders, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Compliance to define strategies, ensure regulatory certification, and guide live-work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or international equivalent.
• Experience planning and executing long-term technical programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across mechanical, thermal, and electrical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Battery Module & BDU Engineering Development across mechanical, thermal, and electrical teams.
• Plan, execute, and verify Battery Module and BDU development in NPIs and small-batch programs.
• Drive product strategy, regulatory compliance, and safety excellence with cross-functional partners.
• Lead collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers for APQP and supplier development.
• Support IP protection and ensure product requirements and schedules are met.
