Responsibilities

• Provide feedback on product and technical specs to help engineers identify opportunities to cut scope or improve quality. Influence and coach individual contributors to reach correct decisions without making final decisions.
• Grow engineers to independently manage large, loosely defined projects with minimal intervention.
• Jump into the codebase to debug customer issues, ship small bug fixes, or improve developer experience. Maintain engineering skill while staying off the critical path.
• Propose and lead department- and company-wide initiatives such as rethinking pull request review processes, designing and improving interview processes, and improving data generation in demo accounts.

Your First Six Months at Ashby

Three months learning about Ashby Engineering and easing into leadership while shipping product changes and features. Collaboration with the team, 30‑day, 60‑day, 90‑day, and 6‑month reviews to calibrate on culture and teamwork.
