Datadog is seeking an engineering manager for the Training & Serving team. You will lead a growing group of engineers, define the technical vision, and drive the roadmap for AI platform scale.

You'll partner with cross-functional teams to scale data pipelines, storage and infrastructure, while maintaining a hands-on leadership style and a strong team culture that emphasizes quality and customer focus. This role blends leadership with technical contribution, including code reviews, design

Qualifications

• 1+ years leading software engineering teams as a tech lead or manager.
• Hands-on leader with backend, data, and infrastructure experience.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Interest in early-stage projects and fast iteration cycles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the Training & Serving team, directly managing 10+ engineers.
• Define our technical roadmap in alignment with AI platform goals and the Applied AI team roadmap.
• Work with our core platform teams to tailor the company's storage, infrastructure and data pipelines to our needs
• Create a strong team culture aligned with our engineering standards and our customer focus
• Participate in hands-on work: Code reviews, design reviews and some coding
