Job summary

ClickUp is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team in our AI-native environment. You will hire, mentor, and guide engineers while delivering on planning, milestones, and high-quality production code. This role blends management with hands-on coding and strong architectural input across product, design, and platform teams.

You will champion AI-driven workflows, maintain reliability, and drive collaboration across disciplines to ship impactful features at scale.

Qualifications

6+ years of software engineering with hands-on leadership.
Proficient in TypeScript/Node.js/React in production SaaS.
Experience delivering customer-facing SaaS products with reliability.
Experience hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Strong architectural judgment and ability to lead across teams.
Experience using AI tools to improve engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a product engineering team across multiple disciplines.
Own delivery from planning through release with milestones.
Set priorities with product, design, and leadership, balancing features and reliability.
Lead technically, review code, and prototype when needed.
Drive architecture decisions with senior engineers.
Run an AI-native team with agentic workflows.
Maintain high engineering standards and incident readiness.
Ensure operational health and on-call readiness.
Collaborate across product and platform teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
Keep progress and risks visible with evidence-based decisions.
