You will mentor engineers, guide AI tooling adoption (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex), set growth targets, and collaborate with product and design to align priorities.

This role emphasizes governance, quality, and a customer-first mindset to shape the future of developer productivity at ClickUp.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of developer tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and integrating them into engineering workflows.
• Experience coaching on AI fluency and builder mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and internal AI tooling.
• Ensure scalable, reliable, and secure developer infrastructure.
• Evaluate and implement AI-native technologies with cost considerations.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of engineers focused on developer productivity.
• Set goals and provide regular feedback to drive team performance with your Director.
• Assess AI fluency and set growth targets for reports.
• Include AI fluency coaching in 1:1s; pair less AI-fluent engineers with AI-native peers.
• Create space for AI experimentation: learning sprints and safe-to-fail projects.
• Recognize and reward AI-driven improvements in performance conversations.
