Job summary

Commure is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Orchestrator team, delivering end-to-end referral processing with HL7 v2/FHIR integration and robust EHR write-back. You will grow the team, steer architecture, and partner with health systems to evolve a shared, scalable product.

You bring 5+ years as an IC, 1+ year of people management, and a track record building production services that multi-task for many customers.

Qualifications

Direct experience building software that integrates with EHRs.
Fluency in healthcare interoperability: HL7 v2 and FHIR.
Strong full-stack engineering background with production experience.
At least 1 year of people management, on top of 5+ years as an IC.
Comfort with ambiguity and building products for many customers.

Responsibilities

Own delivery for Orchestrator end to end: intake, coordination, and EHR write-back.
Grow the team through hiring and raise the technical bar.
Stay technically active: participate in design docs, reviews, and incidents.
Set integration strategy across HL7 v2, FHIR, and UI automation.
Scale system for higher referral volume and more customers.
Partner with health system IT and clinical operations to shape the product.
Translate customer conversations into a shared abstraction and reusable components.
Coach engineers to take on larger scope and meet commitments.
