Job summary

Nourish is seeking a deeply technical, product-minded engineering leader to head Consumer. Reporting to our Head of Engineering, you’ll shape the organization building our world-class consumer app and the technology-enabled care model that will let dietitians serve larger patient populations and unlock new health outcomes.

You’ll lead strategy and execution, develop managers and engineers, and personally dive into the hardest technical and product problems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern full-stack technologies.
• 4+ years of hands-on engineering management.
• Experience hiring engineers and managing performance.
• Ability to write PRDs, critique designs, size opportunities.
• Strong product judgment and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of 8-12+ engineers across multiple teams.
• Coach engineers through regular feedback, career development, calibration, and performance reviews.
• Scale the team through recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Stay hands-on through architecture, pair programming, coding, code reviews, and on-call.
• Partner with product and design to write requirements, shape roadmaps, scope work, plan sprints.
• Drive design decisions around system quality, observability, reliability, and scalability.
• Establish sprint, OKR, quarterly planning, and retrospective rituals.
• Set technical, product, and organizational strategy for Nourish’s consumer experience.
