Job summary

WellSky is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the design, architecture, and delivery of high-quality software in the PACF business unit. You will lead a team of engineers, drive technical and operational success, and foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment.

The role emphasizes AI tooling, modern DevOps practices, cloud-native development, and healthcare domain collaboration. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 4–6 years related work experience
• 3+ years of technical leadership of engineering teams
• Strong understanding of IBM i, RPGLE, DB2 SQL and full-stack development
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI tooling
• Knowledge of Application Security principles (OAuth2)
• Experience with Agile teams and software versioning/hot fixes
• Knowledge of DevOps, pipelines, CI/CD and automation tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with cloud-native technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead a software development team with collaborative, inclusive, high-performing culture
• Oversee planning, prioritization, and execution of engineering projects and timely delivery of high-quality software
• Provide technical leadership to shape architecture, design, and implementation with best practices
• Continuously assess and improve engineering processes from development workflows to deployment pipelines
• Collaborate with solution managers, designers, and other leaders to define project requirements
• Set goals, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify growth opportunities
• Leverage AI tools to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned
