Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead architecture, delivery, and hands‑on engineering for secure healthcare systems. You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and influence the technical direction of critical WelbeHealth platforms.

The role sits at the intersection of engineering, AI, and healthcare, enabling modern AI‑assisted development while ensuring compliance and scale. Strong collaboration with Product and Security teams is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of object‑oriented software development with C#, .NET Core, and React.js.
• 4 years supervisory experience mentoring team members.
• Deep Azure cloud experience including API Apps, Logic Apps, Functions, REST services, Cosmos DB.
• Experience designing microservices at scale and implementing DevSecOps principles.
• Experience with AI‑assisted engineering tools and payer/PHI considerations.
• Agile/Scrum experience with rapid PoC delivery.
• BPM experience with Camunda preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end architecture, development, and delivery of technical solutions for healthcare systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Cloud, Security, and other engineering teams to define integration strategies and blueprints.
• Demonstrate leadership by guiding engineers in fast‑paced, high‑impact environments and performing rigorous code reviews.
• Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders and champion secure, scalable distributed systems.
• Drive adoption of AI‑assisted coding and establish standards for code generation and review.
• Own engineering practices for AI‑backed features, data context, retrieval design, and PHI‑safe workflows.
• Engage business and clinical end users to translate workflows into technical direction for the team.
