Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering in the Commercial and Investment Bank, Public Sector Lockbox, to lead multiple teams and guide day-to-day implementation activities, ensuring compliance, business requirements, and best practices.

You will drive technical design, architecture, and scalable solutions while mentoring engineers across levels, fostering collaboration, and championing responsible AI adoption and secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience leading teams of technologists with coaching to achieve strategic goals.
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience adopting enterprise AI-assisted development and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to the immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks.

• Oversee technical design, architecture, and implementation of scalable solutions.

• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronized with systems.
• Leads adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC/TLM automation.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and capacity unlock initiatives.
