Job summary

Homeward seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the acquisition team within our Product & Tech group. This role reports to scale the team, deliver features on schedule, and drive processes to support rapid growth.

A coding-manager who can coach while coding is preferred, with a focus on AI-enabled workflows. The ideal candidate has a strong background in front-end or full-stack development, extensive leadership experience, and a track record of delivering high-quality software in fast-moving

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a front-line manager in a high-growth organization.
• 7+ years of experience as an individual contributor.
• Demonstrable front-end or full-stack experience.
• Track record of adopting AI-assisted development on your team and turning it into real throughput.
• Fluency with AI-powered features (LLM API integrations, RAG, AI-driven automation).
• Experience with systems using monoliths and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-4 software engineers delivering quality features on time.
• Ensure what the team ships works for customers and operators.
• Foster a build-test-learn culture with MVPs and iterative feedback.
• Minimize hand-offs and avoid delays.
• Promote strong engineering practices and AI-assisted development adoption.
