Homeward is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Acquisition team to guide 3-4 software engineers in delivering high-quality features for our product and tech stack. You will ensure reliable delivery, and you will validate that releases meet customer needs while fostering a fast, feedback-driven build-meet-learn culture across front-end and backend systems.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a front-line manager in a high-growth organization.
7+ years of experience as an individual contributor.
Demonstrable front-end or full-stack experience.
Track record of adopting AI-assisted development on your team.
Experience with AI features (LLM APIs, RAG, AI automation).
Experience with monoliths and microservices.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 3-4 software engineers to deliver quality features and products on time.
Ensure what is shipped works for customers and operators.
Foster a build, test, learn culture with MVPs and rapid iteration.
Promote collaboration across the stack and reduce hand-offs.
Champion strong engineering practices and AI-assisted development norms.
Coach team members as they grow in responsibility and skills.
Collaborate with product managers to prioritize backlogs and timelines.
Own business metrics alongside cross-functional partners.
