Irth Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager for a remote role in the US. You will lead a senior team across data architecture, data engineering, data science, and QA to build an AI/ML-driven platform for pipeline risk management.

The role blends hands-on coding with leadership, ensuring traceability and audit readiness for regulatory requirements. You will own delivery across phased gates, manage sprint rituals, review designs, and maintain high engineering standards while partnering with

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software or data engineering experience, including 2+ years of formally managing engineers.
• Hands-on manager with recent individual contributions to production systems.
• Experience delivering data-intensive or ML-backed products end to end, from architecture through production operation.
• Working knowledge of modern cloud data platforms; Databricks and Azure experience strongly preferred, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with ability to review and write production code across the stack.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, environment promotion, and release management.
• Ability to run phased delivery plans with external commitments and communicate status to executives.
• Experience hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers in a remote environment.
• Strong written communication for design docs and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and technical execution against the phase plan with scope, sequencing, dependencies, and release readiness at each gate.
• Contribute directly to the codebase and review PRs, design docs, and architecture decisions.
• Set engineering standards for data modeling, governance, and platform patterns; own CI/CD and observability.
• Balance delivery pressure with technical debt and document tradeoffs.
• Plan and schedule production-readiness activities including load testing and security reviews.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop a distributed team of engineers; conduct regular growth discussions.
• Partner with Product and PMO on requirements, sequencing, and scope tradeoffs; support pilots and discovery with customers.
