Karman Space and Defense is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on machining processes in an automated manufacturing environment. You will guide engineers to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions and collaborate across functions to meet project objectives.

The role emphasizes mentoring, project management, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace/defense setting, with a strong focus on staying ahead of machining technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in machining/manufacturing, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and technologies.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Preferred: proficiency with MasterCAM and Vericut.
• Understanding of Development Integrated Master Schedules.

• Leads and mentors engineering team members, providing guidance to achieve project goals and schedules.
• Oversees the design and development of machining processes and products in an automated manufacturing environment.
