Our company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing team. This is a permanent position and an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and success of our production process. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, enforcing quality control, managing projects, and leading a team of engineers. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in the manufacturing industry and a passion for innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering operations within the manufacturing department, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Implement and manage LEAN manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and 6S methodologies, identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
• Utilize Black Belt skills to solve complex problems and improve processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Manage and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless production.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Develop and manage budgets, preparing annual forecasts and strategic plans.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements, integrating new technologies and techniques into our processes as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated experience with Black Belt, Kaizen, 6S, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and LEAN methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
• Strong project management skills with experience managing budgets and timelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
• Strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
