Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Park Ridge, IL to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on new product development and ongoing improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will mentor engineers, drive process improvements, and partner with manufacturing and quality to ensure design standards and timely project delivery. This hands‑on leadership role emphasizes accountability and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (Electrical or Aerospace Engineering will also be considered)
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 2+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience
  • Experience within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in product development, engineering design, and manufacturing support
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve engineering processes, product quality, and development speed.
  • Champion a "go and see" leadership style by spending time with the team on the manufacturing floor, understanding challenges firsthand, and providing meaningful support.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve engineering design standards while promoting best practices and lessons learned.
  • Manage engineering resources, budgets, and project priorities to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, operations, and global engineering teams to successfully execute projects.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do
