Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager for a premier aerospace manufacturer in New York. The role leads a team of manufacturing engineers, drives process improvements, and supports production with Lean initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a engineering degree, 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, and strong leadership with CAD/CATIA experience. Excellent communication and project management are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Associate's Degree considered with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments; strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and production processes.
  • Estimate production times, labor requirements, equipment needs, and manufacturing costs.
  • Create and maintain CAD models and manufacturing documentation using CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
  • Generate engineering drawings and product structures that accurately reflect customer requirements.
  • Establish manufacturing tolerances and process documentation.
  • Support production and subcontractors with engineering solutions and technical guidance.
  • Coordinate engineering priorities with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Resolve manufacturing challenges through analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for improving production processes, developing manufacturing methods, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
