Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Must be based or willing to relocate to NYC

Responsibilities

1. Lead, coach, and develop a team of backend engineers, primarily focused on PHP-based development.
2. Oversee planning, development, and deployment of backend features and services using PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or custom frameworks).
3. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering leaders to define roadmap priorities and delivery timelines.
4. Ensure high standards of engineering quality through code reviews, best practices, and mentoring.
5. Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy for scalable systems.
6. Support DevOps efforts around CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
