The company is led by a seasoned team with a proven history of building scalable, data-intensive AI products, delivering transformative solutions for Fortune 500 companies, and successfully navigating the startup ecosystem. Their focus is on pushing technical boundaries to solve problems that matter.

The role

Working on-site in the New York City office as an AI & Full-stack Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing the robust, scalable software solutions that form the core of my client's platform. You will contribute across the entire technology stack, from front-end interfaces to back-end AI systems, ensuring the acceleration and safety of mission-critical operations for their clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack web applications and AI services using modern technologies.
• Building intuitive, responsive user interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensuring applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security through rigorous development and code reviews.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues across the stack to ensure platform reliability.

The essential requirements

• A background in an AI-native startup environment, with direct experience shipping advanced AI or Large Language Model (LLM) based products.
• Experience in 'hard tech' or mission-driven environments where software development is tightly integrated with physical hardware, operational systems, or complex machinery.
• A track record of deploying AI/ML solutions at scale within a major technology company or for enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Professional experience in domains such as autonomous systems, robotics (sensor/device integration), geospatial data analysis, or multi-physics simulations.
• Proven experience in AI development at scale, including debugging, versioning, monitoring, instrumenting, benchmarking, and optimizing AI/ML pipelines.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and server-side languages/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Express, Django, Flask).
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, paired with ego-less, measured communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
