Job summary

Eleven Recruiting in Los Angeles is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the Microwave Systems and MRO Value Stream. You will lead Manufacturing and Process Engineers, drive DFMA initiatives, and ensure on-time delivery of engineering commitments.

This role requires seven or more years in design and manufacturing, broad microwave systems knowledge, and strong stakeholder communication. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will shape technical strategy and risk mitigation while

• Minimum of seven years of experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
• Broad engineering knowledge of Microwave Systems, Power Supplies, Command- Control-Telemetry Electrical Systems with a strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders and work across cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to take initiative.
• Professional maturity.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing and Process Engineers within the Microwave Systems & MRO Value Stream.
• Foster collaboration and communication across the enterprise.
• Responsible for engineering deliverables covering the full lifecycle of the Program/Project as required by the Program Scope/business, including optimizing manufacturing efficiency through design for manufacturing methodologies, resolving obsolescence and providing technical support to the supply base.
• Responsible for the technical delivery of complex work packages, providing leadership to cross-functional teams within and IPT framework.
• Define and deliver the customer requirements and definition for the project. Closely follow change with eye for technical and contractual impacts.
• Provide technical interface with customers maintaining a proactive Customer-driven attitude. Develop customer relationships based on transparency and trust.
• Communicate across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment at working and management level.
• Collaborate closely with engineering managers to ensure on-time delivery of engineering commitments and/or technical project support.
• Minimum travel required (5-10% of the time).
• Comply with engineering processes and methodologies.
• Manage technical interface, communication, and escalation between customers (internal/external).
• Technical risk evaluation, management, mitigation and closure of escalations.
• Work to resolve issues preventing progression of technical work scope at the IPT level within the IPT in a timely manner.

Eleven Recruiting is searching for an Engineering Manager to join a well-established, global aerospace and defense OEM in the greater Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all technical aspects relating to the support of various product lines within the Microwave Systems and MRO Value Stream. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Engineering, and indirectly to the Value Stream Director.
