Job summary

Cargill seeks an Engineering Manager to lead engineering capital allocations for the growing corn-milling facility in Hammond, IN. You will head a team of Project Engineers and participate in site leadership and regional capital excellence efforts to steer projects with strong technical and financial discipline.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least six years of related experience, and PMP certification. Experience with $10MM+ capital portfolios is preferred and will be highly valued.

• Six+ years of related work experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience managing $10MM+ capital portfolio.
• Experience leading multi-discipline contractors.
• Experience with industrial food processing or dry material handling is a plus.

You will lead a team of Project Engineers and serve on the site leadership team and regional capital excellence leadership team providing strategic input into the identification and development of the operational vision, direction and people resources needed to deliver results.**Key Accountabilities*** Anticipates and plans for future engineering needs and develops the three to five year capital planning required for normal operations.* Serve as a member of the site leadership team and provide strategic technical and engineering support for normal operations as well as project engineering oversight support for the most complex base and non-base capital projects.* Provide execution oversight for current plan year projects.* Direct the tactical development of the operational vision, direction and strategy.* Ensure project meets requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.* Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions.
