The Engineering Manager plans, organizes, and directs the Engineering Department to meet company objectives for design, product development, and improvement of existing product lines. The Engineering Manager will manage a team and also contribute as a hands‑on Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Engineering Manager is a highly visible role in the Americas HQ and will directly drive continued excellence. Anritsu is an established company, with ample room for growth. We care about providing an excellent experience for our customers, vendors, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee key projects, drive consistency, ensure quality and manage on‑time completion
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and programs
  • Collaborate with leadership to select correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for products
  • Review and analyze proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures
  • Approve and submit feasible proposals to upper management for consideration and allocation of funds
  • Direct the review of production costs and product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division
  • Recommend budget to management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a design and production environment, including school projects and labs
  • Proven track record in system design, preferably with direct experience with UL, CE, OSHA, USDA, 3A and sanitary design
  • Experience in risk analysis and maintaining safety documents
  • Experience with bill of materials (BOM) generation and spare parts/service documentation
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD (2D/3D), or similar
  • Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • SAP Business One or Microsoft Dynamics CRM, preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep team projects on track
  • Prior experience with automation, packaging, and inspection equipment high preferred
