Aegis Worldwide is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in New Orleans to hire an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager. This role leads both the engineering and maintenance functions, driving reliability and continuous improvement across the facility.

The ideal candidate combines strategic planning with hands-on shop floor involvement, with a strong track record in preventive maintenance and capital project oversight to maximize equipment uptime and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong background in industrial maintenance operations.
• Proven expertise in preventative maintenance planning and implementation.
• Experience managing capital projects and budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on shop floor involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all maintenance and engineering operations within the facility.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring timely response to equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
• Provide hands-on support and leadership on the production floor as needed.
• Drive strategic initiatives related to equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Lead capital projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and post-project evaluation.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditures and maintenance costs.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance and engineering team.
• Establish and track KPIs related to maintenance, reliability, and OEE.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams to support business goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
