Job summary

Wabash is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead manufacturing engineering, drive continuous improvement, manage capital projects, and promote cost-saving initiatives. The role requires building capable teams, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or Technology required; mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years in manufacturing plant engineering/management with budgeting and project management experience.
• Experience with automated control systems PLCs and PCs.
• Strong budget management and cost control capabilities.
• Knowledge of capital project development, cost estimation and management.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S deployment, and WCM experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and MS Project.
• Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
• Proven TPM and reliability-based asset management skills.
• Interpersonal, team-building and collaboration abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists all business units in making operational improvements to reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Utilizes Lean manufacturing and technology to maximize efficiency.
• Plans, manages, and executes capital asset programs in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan and policy.
• Promotes development of cost-saving initiatives.
• Develops a safe, trustful manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork and quality.
• Assigns accountability, builds teams, hires, develops, evaluates, trains, coaches and disciplines.
• Ensures adherence to Wabash policies and procedures.
• Ensures production of a quality product meeting Wabash quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
