Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and coordinate manufacturing activities, supervise hourly staff, and support SQDCME initiatives in their area. The role emphasizes safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environment.

The candidate will develop production plans, schedule personnel, coach teams, and foster a safe, collaborative atmosphere while driving continuous improvement and onboarding new employees.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology.
• 2–3+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control hazards.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S and CI concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, ADP, SAP and similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the process and employees to meet schedule goals.
• Develops and executes production plans for SQDCME metrics.
• Completes daily production plan by scheduling personnel and setting priorities.
• Manages labor and communicates clear job expectations.
• Trains and develops production employees on equipment use.
• Coaches employees and enforces policies and procedures.
• Promotes a clean, safe work environment.
• Fosters cooperation between departments and teams.
• Maintains SWIs and completes required audits.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives (ECO System).
• Coordinates training and onboarding for new hires.
• Develops cross-training plans and maintains skills matrices.
• Performs other duties as assigned
