Job summary

AFB International, based in Missouri, seeks an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to oversee all process equipment, facilities, and the maintenance staff. You will lead a high-volume, 24/7 operation, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include budgeting, project management, and collaboration with engineering and operations to meet production goals. Travel up to 10% may be required and a strong background in Lean/Six Sigma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years’ related experience.
• Prefer degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and experience in food, flavor, or feed industries.
• SQF-certified manufacturing environment desirable.
• Kaizen, Lean/Six Sigma, or business operating systems with strong process orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering and Maintenance staff and supervise the plant engineering team.
• Manage plant budgets and capital/expense plans.
• Develop and execute projects from feasibility through start-up and installation.
• Ensure safety, quality, and production targets in a high-volume environment.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving across maintenance and operations.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for reliable plant operations.
