Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Medford, Oregon invites emerging engineers to join an Engineering Leadership Program. This 12-month development track blends on-the-job learning with formal training, focusing on leadership and broad exposure to LG&E operations.

You'll work on engineering and project management tasks from concept to start-up, collaborate across manufacturing, distribution, and maintenance, and pursue continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 1–2 years’ work experience, including internships in designated degree areas.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, or community.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 12-month development program to learn LG&E business operations and leadership skills.
  • Lead and administer special projects in engineering for the regional leadership team.
  • Support project engineering and project management from concept to start-up.
  • Work in a team to participate in optimization efforts in manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Adhere to compliance, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to reducing engineering costs through Operational Excellence strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.

What you will enjoy doing
  • You will actively participate in a 12-month development program to learn and understand the LG&E business operations while you develop leadership skills through on-the-job experiences, project assignments and formal training
  • Lead and administer special projects in engineering, supporting the Senior Project Manager or key members of the leadership team within the region
  • Support project engineering and project management work from concept to start-up in compliance with Linde policies
  • You are expected to work in a team environment to participate in and contribute to optimization efforts in manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, and supply chain, which may include participation in Six Sigma or LEAN Manufacturing projects
  • Adhere to all compliance, quality, and safety requirements of the Company, specifically within Engineering
  • You will continuously look for ways to reduce engineering costs through the incorporation of Operational Excellence strategies
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to meet their needs
