Job summary

Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. seeks an Engineering Leader to drive design and optimization of manufacturing processes, provide technical quoting guidance, and lead cross-functional collaboration across Kalkaska and other sites.

This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing labor, and expanding opportunities for custom filtration products in aerospace, automotive, and commercial markets. The ideal candidate should have a strong aerospace background, CAD proficiency, and a proven track

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD design software to support manufacturing process design and quoting.
• Strong knowledge of wire mesh or metal fabrication/manufacturing operations, including stamping, welding, soldering, brazing, and heat treating.
• Experience in aerospace industry with AS9100 and NADCAP.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team, lead-by-example and hands-on approach.
• Designs and optimizes manufacturing processes to efficiently produce customer-designed products.
• Collects and analyzes data to identify and implement process improvements across multiple sites.
• Provides technical expertise for cost estimation and quoting for customer-designed products.
• Collaborates with production teams to reduce labor and improve operator efficiency.
• Maintains and updates files, prints, and documentation for customer products.
• Supports the implementation of new technologies to improve operations and quoting.
