Job summary

First Onsite - US seeks a Sr. Manager, Engineering to lead a team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technology products and applications. You’ll blend hands-on technical leadership with people management to guide architecture decisions, coding practices, and production support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or related technology org.
• 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical practitioners.
• Experience leading engineering initiatives through requirements, design, development, testing, release, and support.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern application architecture.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or engineering automation (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with 3rd party orgs to implement and manage software integrations.
• Handle day-to-day technology issues related to existing programs.
• Develop code to meet technical requirements while adhering to quality and secure coding standards.
• Develop unit test plans and perform unit testing.
• Guide engineering initiatives through the full SDLC from planning to support.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to identify tech opportunities and set delivery priorities.
• Provide technical direction across product engineering, integration, and production support.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and plans.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable.
• Apply AI tools to improve development, testing, documentation, automation, and engineering ops.
• Establish responsible-use guidelines for AI-enabled engineering tools, including security and privacy.
