Job summary

Fluke Health Solutions seeks an DFX & Engineering Manager to build a new engineering pillar in Everett, WA. You will drive design-for-excellence across new products and end-of-life, aligning manufacturability with cost and yield targets on a global biomedical portfolio.

You will lead a dozen engineers onsite, mentor teams, and implement Fortive Business System practices (PSP, 3P, VRK). This role reports to the Senior Director and offers growth toward operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related)
• 8+ years of engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment with mentoring others
• DFX / design-for-manufacturability leadership and ownership of operational KPIs (yield, DPPM, OTD)
• Experience with ISO 9001 / 13485 / 17025 or FDA-regulated manufacturing
• Fluency with Fortive Business System or equivalent Lean / Six Sigma

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the DFX & Engineering pillar (DFX, test, manufacturing, software, and metrology) across the FHS biomedical portfolio
• Own the design-for-excellence agenda — manufacturability, testability, yield, and cost — across NPI and end-of-life
• Own the engineering KPI bowler — first-pass yield, DPPM, and on-time delivery — and drive countermeasures
• Lead the Fortive Business System in the function (PSP, 3P, VRK, Standard Work, Daily Management) and build a hiring and talent-development plan
• Partner with Quality, Materials, Production, Service, R&D, and HR to align engineering capacity to the plan
