Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager for the Agentic Service Platform team. You will build foundational service frameworks and runtime infrastructure powering every microservice, with goals of speed, reliability, observability, and security by default.

Lead a multi-faceted engineering team, set multi-year technical strategy, drive cross-team initiatives, and mentor senior ICs and line managers. You will partner with product and engineering leadership to ensure long-term platform

Qualifications

8+ years of engineering experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, service frameworks, or platform infrastructure.
4+ years of engineering management experience leading strong technical teams.
Proven track record of high technical judgment and guiding cross-team platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and scale a multi-faceted team of engineers, including line managers and senior ICs, for the agentic service platform.
Own the multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for a cross-cutting domain within the agentic service platform.
Drive delivery of complex, multi-quarter initiatives spanning multiple teams and product areas.
Mentor engineers and managers, coaching senior ICs and guiding line managers.
Influence product and engineering leadership across partner organizations for long-term platform success.
