SpaceXAI is seeking an Engineering Lead for Consumer Subscriptions in Palo Alto to own the end-to-end billing infrastructure, promotions, and global payments for X Premium and SuperGrok. You will lead a dedicated engineering team and shape personalized user experiences at massive scale.

The role emphasizes building reliable backend systems, driving revenue growth, and delivering high-impact features across subscriptions, bundles, and messaging platforms.

Qualifications

• Exceptional software engineering background with experience in large-scale, high-stakes systems (billing/payments preferred).
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and directly manage engineering teams.
• Strong track record delivering complex backend systems for consumer apps at scale.
• Passion for revenue-generating products and exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete billing infrastructure for consumer subscriptions end-to-end with reliability and security.
• Design and build promotional offer infrastructure and internal tools to boost revenue.
• Develop communications systems for push, email, and in-app messaging to drive engagement.
• Implement market-specific billing methods and compliance for global expansion.
• Architect product bundles across the ecosystem for different markets.
• Build intelligent models to serve messages and offers at optimal times.
• Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing Consumer Subscriptions engineering team.
• Hands-on ownership of key features for X Premium and SuperGrok.
