SpaceXAI is seeking a backend engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance systems powering subscriptions, monetized products, and creator income. You’ll work on mission-critical infrastructure processing millions of transactions, optimizing user growth and retention, and enabling creators to earn a living through their content.

The role emphasizes ownership, fast-paced delivery, and hands-on collaboration in a flat organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems
• Proficient in Rust, C++, or JVM languages
• Hands-on with search/indexing tech such as Elasticsearch or Lucene
• Experience with OS internals, filesystems or DB storage engines
• Strong focus on performance, reliability, scalability
• Willingness to own problems and learn quickly
• Able to work fast in shifting priorities and tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale search infrastructure with low latency
• Deep-dive into indexing, query execution, and relevance
• Operate production services end-to-end incl monitoring and perf tuning
• Lead incident responses and postmortems with peers
