Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer/Project Manager to act as both engineer and project leader on diverse client projects across power, federal, and life sciences sectors.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships while applying engineering rigor to solve challenging problems. The role emphasizes leadership, cross-discipline collaboration, and proposal development by leveraging first principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant experience in mechanical, civil/structural, I&C, or electrical systems.
• Experience managing technical projects and leading teams.
• Proficient in design and analysis tools for systems and components.
• Applied engineering first principles to solve complex problems.
• Three-to-five-year US Navy Nuclear experience is considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering first principles to analyze and solve complex technical problems across multiple sectors.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop technical solutions for equipment failures.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery from initiation through closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and serve as primary client interface.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; escalate issues to senior management.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to proposals and define technical scope.
