Job summary

Workiva is seeking a senior engineering leader to build and guide the GRC Reporting engineering domain. You will own the health of the delivery pipeline, grow the team, and set the quality bar for AI-native reporting used by boards, auditors, and regulators.

You'll lead cross-functional collaboration with product, UX, and data teams, shape domain direction, and articulate resourcing tradeoffs while maintaining delivery momentum in a flexible remote setup across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of engineering experience or equivalent experience
• 3+ years directly managing engineers, including supervisory experience of supervisors and/or ICs
• Experience managing complex projects in high-compliance environments and building team culture

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, assigning roles and tasks based on team goals and individual growth areas
• Own the delivery schedule for your team and communicate risk to group leadership early
• Own the reporting system, principles, and patterns across all GRC solutions
• Drive development of the composition layer: charts, narrative, tables, dynamic data, template import, and report generation
• Build and maintain lineage, versioning, and persistence infrastructure for trustworthy outputs
• Define and execute product quality strategy with group leaders and contributors
• Reinforce Workiva values, principles, and agile practices across squads
• Assess and document individual performance, run regular 1:1s, coach engineers in career development and obstacles
• Own team health and create a positive, engaging environment; resolve conflicts directly
• Identify opportunities for reports’ growth and participate in recruiting and onboarding
