Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Engineering Lab Supervisor for the Syracuse, NY facility. This onsite leadership role directs day-to-day lab operations and oversees a small team to ensure safe, efficient testing and certification activities.

The supervisor will drive readiness, backlog management, and continuous improvement while coordinating with the Laboratory Manager on strategy and capital planning. A strong background in engineering and lab testing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of engineering, product validation, certification, or testing-laboratory experience.
• Willingness to work onsite near Syracuse, NY; relocation is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day on-site leadership for the Syracuse Engineering Test Laboratory.
• Direct, coach, and develop four direct reports; assign work by qualifications and priority.
• Lead test-readiness reviews and ensure samples, plans, standards, fixtures, and equipment are defined.
• Manage backlog, scheduling, readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support certification activities and collaborate with the Laboratory Manager on strategy.
