Our team is looking for an Engineering Lab Manager to join us. In this role, you will lead the Engineering Lab testing organization, oversee design verification and validation activities, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards. This position is responsible for managing laboratory personnel, supporting medical device product development programs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services that support product safety, reliability, and performance.
To be considered for the Engineering Lab Manager role, here’s what you'll need to bring with you:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in medical device product development, testing, manufacturing, or a related engineering field
Proven leadership and project management experience in a technical environment
Extensive knowledge of medical device product development processes and applicable domestic and international standards
Strong understanding of engineering testing methodologies, verification and validation processes, and test method development
Experience developing and executing protocols related to product design and manufacturing processes
Ability to apply engineering principles and statistical analysis techniques to solve technical challenges
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams
Experience training, supervising, and developing technical staff
Ability to thrive in a highly regulated, compliance‑driven environment while maintaining a customer‑focused mindset
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a repeated basis
As an Engineering Lab Manager, you will:
Lead Engineering Lab Operations
Direct the daily activities of laboratory and testing personnel
Ensure laboratory operations meet standards for safety, data integrity, product reliability, and testing quality
Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet demanding schedules and cost objectives
Oversee routine maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections of laboratory equipment
Maintain expertise in applicable testing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry practices
Support Product Development and Testing
Oversee the development and execution of test methods used to evaluate product performance, reliability, and safety
