Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Five years of post-graduate experience with engineering design and analysis.
• Broad knowledge across physics, mathematics, engineering, and related disciplines.
• Proficient with MATLAB and SolidWorks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads group laboratory sessions for courses in the core undergraduate engineering curriculum. Some evening sessions may be required.
• May occasionally support laboratories for graduate-level engineering courses.
• Facilitates consistent, high-quality laboratory experiences across multiple laboratory sessions and course offerings.
• Coordinates with faculty to ensure that laboratory experiences are well-matched with learning objectives, lecture content, and progression of the overall course.
• Recruits, trains, and supervises laboratory teaching assistants.
• Advises students on open-ended, course-based projects which may include developing and running technical training sessions, assisting with engineering design and analysis, participating in informal or formal design reviews, and ensuring that student project work is conducted in a safe and professional manner.
