Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• Five years of post-graduate experience with engineering/scientific design and analysis.
• Broad technical knowledge spanning physics, mathematics, engineering and related disciplines.
• Focused knowledge in two or more of: electrical, mechanical, energy/thermal, fluids, materials science, chemical, biological, mechatronics/control systems.
• Comfortable in an engineering lab with instrumentation.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and SolidWorks.
• Excellent analytical, communication and teaching skills.
• Commitment to diversity and serving a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Leads group laboratory sessions for core undergraduate courses.
• Advises students on course-based projects and laboratory topics.
• Coordinates with faculty to align labs with learning objectives.
• Schedules labs, updates manuals and materials, and evaluates student performance.
• Recruits, trains and supervises laboratory teaching assistants.
• May perform in-class demonstrations for supported courses.
