Job summary

Hatch is seeking an Engineering Intern (Water) to support the Infrastructure group from our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will assist in developing green stormwater infrastructure, design plans, and calculations as part of a global team.

The role emphasizes practical, sustainable solutions and collaboration with engineers across disciplines. Applicants should be pursuing a civil or environmental engineering degree, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and may have prior internship/co-op experience.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with developing green stormwater infrastructure and site design, construction plans and details, design calculations, engineering estimates, and specifications.
• Apply Civil engineering principles to provide efficient, effective and economical design solutions in an interdisciplinary project environment.
• Apply innovative sustainable engineering solutions.
• Work independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, with judgement for minor adaptations.

You bring to the role:

• Candidates with previous internship or co-op experience is an asset
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
• Willingness to travel to various Hatch offices, project, and supplier sites subject to project requirements
• Previous co-op or internship experience is considered an asset
