Job summary

Hatch Ltd. seeks an Engineering Intern (Water) in Columbus, OH, to support the Infrastructure group from our Columbus office. You will assist with green stormwater infrastructure design, drawings, and specifications while applying civil engineering principles in a global, interdisciplinary setting. Ideal candidates are pursuing a B.S.

or M.S. in civil/environmental engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and may have internship experience. Travel to Hatch offices and sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing green stormwater infrastructure and site design, construction plans and details, design calculations, engineering estimates, and specifications.
• Apply civil engineering principles to provide efficient, economical, and timely solutions in an interdisciplinary project environment.
• Apply innovative sustainable engineering solutions.
• Work independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques with some minor adaptations.

Hatch is seeking a Engineering Intern (Water). Reporting to theInfrastructure group, you will support offices globally working from ourColumbus, OHoffice location.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Assisting with developing green stormwater infrastructure and site design, construction plans and details, design calculations, engineering estimates, and specifications
• Use the application of Civilengineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in an interdisciplinary project environment
• Application of innovative sustainable engineering solutions
• Working independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

You bring to the role:

• Candidates with previous internship or co-op experience is an asset
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
• Willingness to travel to various Hatch offices, project, and supplier sites subject to project requirements
• Previous co-op or internship experience is considered an asset
