Job summary

Hatch in Boston, MA is seeking an Engineering Intern (Water) to support the Infrastructure group. You will assist with design, calculations, and documentation for green stormwater projects, working from our Boston office.

The role values hands-on learning, collaboration with global offices, and a commitment to safe, innovative, sustainable solutions. Travel to Hatch offices and sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

Hatch is seeking a Engineering Intern (Water). Reporting to the Infrastructure group, you will support offices globally working from our Boston, MA office location.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

As The Successful Candidate, You Will

• Assisting with developing green stormwater infrastructure and site design, construction plans and details, design calculations, engineering estimates, and specifications
• Use the application of Civil engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in an interdisciplinary project environment
• Application of innovative sustainable engineering solutions
• Working independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

You Bring To The Role

• Candidates with previous internship or co-op experience is an asset
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
• Willingness to travel to various Hatch offices, project, and supplier sites subject to project requirements
• Previous co-op or internship experience is considered an asset

• Perform assignments related to your sector
• Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
• Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
• Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
• Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed

Compensation

Range: $26 – $31
