Qualifications

• Enrollment in a technical school or current engineering student with 1+ year completed.
• Civil engineering majors preferred.
• 0–6 months experience; MS Office required.
• CAD/Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong math skills and familiarity with project documentation.
• Knowledge of survey software and Trimble tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-the-job training for a variety of engineering activities.
• Basic drafting skills and techniques.
• Work with engineers on full plan development.
• Perform routine tasks to gain experience with engineering staff and programs.
• Learn survey activities and operate GPS and conventional survey equipment.
• Exposure to field tests and materials testing.
• Compile data and perform basic engineering calculations.
• Travel to project sites as needed (in-state/out-of-state; ~10%).
