Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern engineer in Charlotte, NC to support Structures, Roadway, Traffic, Rail, Water Resources and Construction teams. You will assist with research, development, design, and the preparation of drawings and documents under supervision.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited engineering program and a high school diploma or GED. Training includes basic engineering calculations and utilizing CAD tools like AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of engineering, geometry and algebra.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
