Job summary

HNTB is seeking an Intern Engineer in East Florida to support multiple departments including Traffic & Planning, Roadway, Structures, Drainage, Rail, and Construction. You will assist engineers with research, design, and documentation while learning introductory shop drawing and submittal processes.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited engineering program, have basic math and engineering knowledge, and can work under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and be enrolled in an accredited post‑secondary engineering program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understand and apply guidance from peers and supervisors.
• Understand introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
• Ability to organize information for drawings or documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with tasks and duties.
• Assist with research, development and design of projects.
• Assist with preparation of drawings and documents as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.
