Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC offers a summer internship/coop program designed to blend academic learning with real-world work. Interns and co-ops will work on projects and milestones, with a timeline and expo to present results. Most interns begin in the summer rotation and have opportunities to convert to full-time roles.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and a structured onboarding experience, including progress updates, a project expo, and exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• Strong organization, planning and analytical skills.
• Experience in systems thinking and process management.
• Proven working experience in a team environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify alternatives, best practices, and solutions for wire cutting processes.
• Document differences between standard methodologies and proposed solutions.
• Propose SOPs for onboarding of SPDs.
• Participate in wire center shadow days to understand how to optimize workflows.
